David Freeze - Mental Trainer and Athletic Counsellor

Dave's workshops focus on entertaining and easy to follow theory sessions and the practical application of the material in settings specific to training. Dave also does live-action coaching, assisting teams and individual athletes while in competition. His work focuses on mental training and the development of life-long skills to be able to concentrate, manage anxiety and manage emotion when in high-pressure situations.

Dave also works one-on-one with individual athletes in a counselling setting, helping to create vision, set goals, uncover inefficient behaviour and discover each individual's secrets for success. This work is confidential, solution focused and ideal for creating specific strategies that are uniquely catered to each client. As Dave's clients come from all over the Pacific Northwest, much of this work is done via the telephone.

Dave has a Master's Degree in Applied Behavioural Science from Bastyr University, well known for its focus on healing through natural health sciences. Dave splits his time between his sport performance business, coaching business executives, and working at Thompson Rivers University's Adventure Guide Training Program. He lives in Kamloops with his wife and three young children.

Dave is an enthusiastic mental trainer and patient sports counsellor with over 30 years of training, competing and coaching experience in all levels of sport with all age groups. He has participated in four world championships, is a three time Ironman, has completed nine marathons, and been actively involved in numerous other individual and team sports all his life.
